Submission Guidelines

  • Word Count: 2,000–5,000 words
  • Abstract: 150–250 words
  • Keywords: 3–5
  • Referencing Style: APA 7th Edition
  • File Format: Microsoft Word or PDF
  • Ethical Statement: All submissions must include a declaration of originality, ethical compliance, and disclosure of conflicts of interest.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Mental Health and Wellbeing welcomes original contributions that advance understanding and practice in psychology, mindfulness, and mental health. Authors are requested to carefully review and adhere to the following submission guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.

Manuscript Length

Articles should typically range between 2,000–5,000 words, including references, tables, and appendices. Shorter reflective or practice-based pieces may be accepted at the discretion of the editorial board.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Each manuscript must include an abstract of 150 - 250 words summarizing the main objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions of the paper.
  • Provide 3 - 5 keywords that best describe the subject matter of the article.

Formatting Requirements

  • File Format: Submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF format.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Spacing: 1.5 line spacing throughout.
  • Headings: Use clear, consistent heading levels.
  • Page numbers: Include in the footer.

Referencing Style

All references and in-text citations must follow the APA 7th Edition style. Authors are encouraged to ensure accuracy and completeness of all references cited in their manuscripts.

Copyright and Licensing

By submitting a manuscript, authors agree that their work may be published online under the Every Mind Matters publication umbrella.

Ethical Compliance

All submissions must be original and must not have been published or under review elsewhere.

Authors are required to include a Declaration of Originality and Ethical Compliance at the end of their manuscript, confirming that:

  • The work is their own and properly acknowledges all sources.
  • All ethical standards have been adhered to, particularly for studies involving human participants.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest are clearly stated.

All submissions will undergo editorial review and, where appropriate, double-blind peer review.

Review and Publication

Authors will be notified of the review outcome within 4 - 6 weeks. Accepted manuscripts may be subject to minor revisions before final publication.
